Single Flexible Ale Extractor Float System
The Harry Mason Single Flexible Ale Extractor is a floating cask ale extractor. This float system draws cask ale from just below the beer surface for upright dispense. Its flexible tube and submerged float help draw clear beer from the cask.
The standard kit includes one extractor body, also known as a collar or broach. Choose Extra Body: Yes to add a second body for pre-tapping your next cask. When the first cask is empty, transfer the extractor through the body already fitted to the next cask.
Cask sizes, tube colours and lengths
| Cask size | Capacity | Tube colour | Tube length |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pin | 4.5 gallon | Blue | 448 mm |
| Firkin | 9 gallon | Clear | 592 mm |
| Kilderkin | 18 gallon | Red | 761 mm |
Choose the tube that matches your cask size. These measurements are tube lengths.
Choose the right extractor for your cask
- Thread: choose 3/4 BSP, L Thread or Y Thread to match your existing dispense connection. These are separate options: check the thread before ordering.
- Barrel size: choose Pin, Firkin or Kilderkin to match the cask you use. This selects the appropriate tube length; the correct length is critical to performance.
- Extra Body: choose No for the standard kit with one body, or Yes to add a spare body for preparing your next cask.
These extractors allow upright dispense, require low maintenance and eliminate the need for racking systems. For multiple beer pumps from the same cask, see the Double Flexible Ale Extractor.

Find replacement bodies, outlets, tubes and floats in our Flexible Ale Extractor Spares range. When buying replacement tubes, choose the correct cask size. When buying outlets or hop filters, check the thread option rather than assuming all fittings are interchangeable.
If you are unsure which configuration matches your equipment, contact Harry Mason with your cask size and details of the existing connection before ordering.
